I like what i hear, so far. But i have to wash it again, it's still a bit noisy, and give it a proper inner sleeve.

"proper sleeves"

I don't get it. Sure the rice-paper ones feel softer than different grades of paper. Then the plastic ones like MFSL had way back in the 80s (they might have been the first with those) they were sold at the record stores.

I had originals from the 70s that did not have static or any other issues because I always used that Discwasher... even dry just to dust the grooves when I couldn't find that D-3 stuff anymore. Kept it clean also. Then that two hundred pounds of vinyl I got a year or so ago? Some of those had the lps in a plastic sleeve I guess to keep from messing up the decorative printed ones that were next to them in like-new shape.

So just keep the dust outta there before you slide that record in and it's all good (in my mind)!

Collins and Gabriel did some great work post Genesis

So was a masterpiece

Despite all of the great Collins LPS

I thought the Tarzan soundtrack was his best work product

don't know of that one.. I know it's a Disney thing..

That´s just it, JohnJ. I bought these used, and while the LPs themselves are ok, the sleves, outer and inner, are really used and i´m notr sure what has accumulated in the inner sleve in 40 years. So I´ll put the LP inside a new inner sleve and keep the old one as well. 😉

Tarzan is an Opera written by Collins & Mancia

Do an experiment

Next time you are watching a good movie

turn the sound off and see what's left

Tarzan was old Disney

any remake from the current Management would be un-recognizable

Soundtrack is Collins with Orchestra

and some great scores

Agreed. Enjoy those gems you keep finding!

Just like washing the truck, wash it top down after rinsing the whole thing off with the hose to get the loose dirt off. So you don't scratch the paint!

I've always used MoFi sleeves on my albums.  Prolly spent as much on them as lp's.  lol  My old stuff still looks and sounds great so I don't really know what to say.  Maybe just the other persons care of them prior too.  Some use I'm and prolly just toss 'em on something.  Who knows.  Throw them into new ones!  Money's not an object!  lol  Ugh.

Yes?  Of course!  Got lucky and took a shot on this new outtakes LP of 90215.  First time thru and just finished the second play.  If you're shoppin I'd give it a double-thumbs up.  It shows how and what Great groups do with their down time when they're out.  Bored to death so ya improvise and add different things everywhere just for a good listen.  Lots do it and the crowd talks about it after a great show.  On this lp EVERY one had a shot.  Trevor killed it, Jon, Chris, well they all did.  It's different and great in a special way.  :)
