Got a 200g copy of Close to the Edge to finish off my "gotta have it" Yes records. I've got to send it back, they don't have more..... surface noise on the beginning of "And You & I" and a bad warp.

 

Yes - Close To The Edge is probably my favourite Yes release but I like the first 3 Records immensely

I love fragile.....it's was one of 

my first prog albums . That I listened

too.....thanks to my neighbor the 

other 3 ...wish you were here , trick of the tail , and in the court of the crimson king ! 

 

It changed my life back in 78....

I also love Fragile- it’s a brilliant album 

But just like you I had more early exposure to Close To The Edge

I did not take it the wrong way....

just sharing my experience....

and it was the first yes album that

I listened to....

One if not the first albums that I purchased was King Crimson - In The Court Of The Crimson King 

And if they did not disband or due to them disbanding I would not have have found Genesis 

 

I was still in High School 

It forced me to look at other bands to fill the gap 

And  “Boy did I fill the gap “ with some of the most wonderful prog ever released

Bill bruford brought me back to

crimson...And what a triple onslaught ....larks tongue , s&bb , red.. I was obsessed with crimson...

back in 81 i picked upped  king crimson dr.d Atlanta Georgia 73

bootleg.... I lost my mind....

doctor diamond is one of my favorite

crimson songs...
