A heavy metal fan attacked him?

Glad I didn't have a mouthful of water when I read that!

I also think you're spot on with your thoughts.  It's just how the majority of his works are.  He, like almost all artists that have survived the test of time,, thought for himself, which in turn inspired him to do his thing.  That's why his stuff has hung with many fans for decades.  They're all like that though in many ways.  Whatever resonates whether it be the lyrics, the composition or the instruments used.  That heavy metal fan though?  hahahahaha

Found that interview, BTW...

Had seen that lp cover somewhere but, definitely heard that song before.

Melancholy a good word for his works and joy also.

Enjoy Van...😎

Next up on the playing list is an album from 1988

This albums genre to me is on the feel good side of rock

It’s a Virgin pressing that is super thin (wonder if there was a vinyl shortage then?)

Artist - Steve Winwood

Title - Roll With It

@MicroMara me thinks me knows what you're up to...  You can run but you can't hide...  Inquiring minds wanna know!!!

5 days ago I picked up my two Cayin tube mono amplifiers from the revision. For this I drove over 700 miles. Both power amps had new transformers and all 6 filter capacitors replaced. In addition, all tubes were checked and the circuit with additional fuses in front of the output stage transformers modified. The power test resulted in the following  49.7 WpC / 8 Ohm with a distortion of less 0,45 %.

You hit the nail on the head @Dave1291. What a musical journey with the refurbished tube mono amps. These have never sounded so fantastic. Tested some new tubes and used ECC 88 from Siemens in Munich and 5814A from Philips USA; 829B Tetrode from RCA ,GEZ 34 rectifier from Siemens and 12BH7A from "EI" former Yugoslavia, I also still have to test here. Since I had to take a longer community break to listen to me with the new tubes. Since we had a lot of snow, it all fit together. Now the spring comes back, we had already 68 Fahrenheit in the last few days, we spend much time outside......

@MicroMara I couldn’t keep you hanging to long

Something in jazz funk

Artist - The Chris Hinze Combination

Title - Sister Slick
Album ID - https://www.discogs.com/The-Chris-Hinze-Combination-Sister-Slick/release/7909687

More info

Chris Hinze Combination was presented internationally 1971 in the Casino at Lake Geneva during the Montreux Jazz Festival. From then on Chris Hinze went on the road all over Europe. Mainly American musicians joined the Combination, like John Lee, Gary Brown, Charlie Mariano, James Batton, Kevin Eubanks and many others. As the setting changed through the years, 'Combination' turned out to be an extremely apropriate name, since Hinze is always searching for new influences, interacting with musicians from other cultures, changing members of the Chris Hinze Combination for new tours and albums.

This next LP is a debut solo album from a founding member of the group Focus

The genre is classical with a modern outlook incorporating the flute as the featured instrument

The album is well put together and hauntingly beautiful

Artist - Thijs van Leer ‎

Title - Introspection

Good to see ya @MicroMara !

& @Full Range I'd wager that the bass player for the Chris Hinze combo is a Chris Squire fan like a lot of us are after hearing that track!

Blue Note always has these amazing cover design... they are a piece of art on themselves...

Love your Thorens TD124, looks like a barebones original, right?
