MicroMara
I have mounted from my Pick - Up treasure chest the Moving Iron from the US American Moving Iron inventor Peter Pritchard on my Micro Seiki. It is the original ADC QLM MK III from 1985 with original needle. The grind is spherical. What can I say ......an almost incomprehensible good resolution and deep bulky bass and beautiful treble. It has a superior spaciousness. There is no left or right or center, it plays an excellent stage in all cohesiveness. The musical flow and emotional component are heart wrenchingly beautiful. It has the ability to reproduce the space between the instruments. The VTA has to be meticulously tuned to do this. Then it also develops an explosive " attack " . To adjust the VTA correctly, I even had to dismantle my teak damper, which I can otherwise use on my other pickups without any problems. In addition, it runs only to top form on tonearms with 14 grams effective mass (best between 20 & 25 grams). Not that I wasn´t lucky with the Nagaoka OS 300, which I had mounted a couple weeks ago again , it was more the play instinct on today's very cold Monday that has prompted me to do so. In addition, I must now gradually test all my cartridges ... because I will soon buy a Micro Seiki DQX 1000. I also already have three offers that I am currently testing . When I put on the first record, silver shadows immediately lit up behind my TT. And this will definitely be my new TT 4

MicroMara
These are the pictures of the offer . The seller owns several Micro Seiki TT´s and has a Yamamoto Headshell distribution in Germany. He is parting with the DQX 1000 because he simply needs space. The TT has undergone a complete technical service, the quartz control optimized, the bearing oils were changed. The tonearm is a SME 3009 Series II Improoved with Headshell SME connection, was also completely disassembled, tested and cleaned. He´s in first class condition , technical and optical. The external motor control is enclosed in a granite housing. I think that's wonderful because it fits right into my granite and stone designed rack setup. In addition, I take a Yamamoto headshell with me . The second tonearm I will buy next year, it will probably be a Micro Seiki MA 505 MK II. I have a very good feeling about it .....
MicroMara
Nevertheless, I am currently a little sad to leave my old DQX 500 S companion after 38 years. He has always brought me joy and has never given me any technical problems, of course it has received a full service every 5 years, I owed that to him. Tonight I will offer him for sale on ebay Germany. 1

Will take a couple of days ...after picking him up , I´ll have to make myself familliar with , must install a Pick-Up first . Good is that I can use most of my Cartridges on the SME Arm , the ones that don´t fit to the arm, because of their weight or their too high bearing weight...I can use these with the second tonearm. That´s has been intend . Finally I´ll be more flexible .....

But then Dual and Your Micro Seiki are in different worlds. But having a spare wouldn't be bad, right? If one needed a service you'd still have the other. No space? Think it a waste of funds? (Sorry if You've written about this somewhere before....)

You see André , I got a good aknowledegment how to service a TT , lot´s of collected experience within the last 4 decades. Even my " old friend " DQX 500S nerver failed , because I serviced as previouse mentioned, every 5 years. The Quality of Micro Seiki was so ahead of it´s time ..their were build for Eternity. And I do not have enought space to keep my old friend...somebody whose gonna win the auction will be pleased and greatful to get mine. And there is a Hellrun of Inquiries that I get after less than 15 hours since publication on ebay.

MeloManiac
New tubes have arrived for my Leben CS300 integrated: military grade Sovtek EL84M and 12ax7lps (long plates). Bought them as 'backup' but they sound so nice with vinyl records!
