JohnJ
I've always heard that their Autobahn was usable throughout the winter months. So if he has a good high compression/torque (I've always called that efficient) engine in his BMW or AMG he should be back home already! 1

MicroMara
Just came from my cleanroom where I am doing the microbiotic cleaning of the DQX 1000 .... What a machine ..... Everything went as discussed with the seller , demonstration got , technically flawless , measurement diagrams to the synchronization fluctuations get printed out , 0.015 % ..ridiculous .Quartz accuracy of both RPM`S is 99.999 % . What you can measure today everything so....how did they do that only earlier ? Visually, it was immediately clear to me that I will clean the DQX 1000 intensively. Only there is a problem ...he is moving coil fan ...the golden counterweight has 162 grams and is designed for MC's from 10 grams dead weight. We have 3 of my MI's & a MM ( AT 20 SLA, 8.6 grams ) Pick Ups , not to run get , at 0.6 Pond contact force was the end . Wanted to have 4 HS-1 A headshells equipped. So only first 1 headshell taken, made so everything no sense. Now I have bought in England for the SME 3009 II Improved a counterweight of 90 grams, then I can use all my Pick Ups up to 1.5 Pond tracking force. Should be delivered between the 17.12. > 23.12.21. Must wait ...but does not matter ..no stress because of it. Can use in the coming days my " Digital gear " ..Where is the problem ? I need anyway still one / two days in my cleanroom before I'm done with him.... Have the DQX 1000 almost completely disassembled .Despite the small problem with the counterweight, I am supernaturally happy. Last night we had snow as I mentioned allready , 24 Fahrenheit , the road were slick .And then ... this morning on the Autobahn 44 saw a brutal accident ...1 vehicle was no longer identifiable , except for the color , which was black the other vehicle were still remnants of a Golf ... ....if one survived that ? Can´t imagine ...... So ...all good ..the cleanroom is calling .... You have to be patience ......like I myself either .... see ya mates ... 4

MicroMara
Well friends, the cleaning procedure is finished now . I was helped in the night by small cleaning trolls who had previously drunk the magic elixir of Miraculix. 😂 That´s the result The DQX1000 has been tested by a specialist for its synchronization fluctuations . The result is convincing Pic 1 shows the measurement without Quartz controll operation Pic 2 shows the result with Quartz Lock operation This corresponds exactly to the values that Micro Seiki published years ago. Fabulous...... 6
JohnJ
I see why you wanted this newer one. Think it will last for the next forty years too, the previous owner took care of it for the specs to still be good. The dark and light granite set it off nicely. That record weight is like the cylinder from a revolver... an eight shooter! Have fun choosing which cartridge to go with.
MicroMara
The eight shooter was great @JohnJ Still waiting for the 90 gramm counterweight , takes a while , comes from england , as you know they left the european community , everything moves much slower now and I have to pay import taxes as well . Hope to get it a.s.a.p. 1
