Today is the 1/2 mile - more like 3/8 mile. Nice track too.

 

The short track had a bunch of rain the night before. They were rolling the track until 1pm. 

After that they ran some practice the sprayed the track with pine sap. Almost ZERO dust

for the rest of the day. Track looked like it had good traction.

The Short Track is the best Bike Week event to go to. It's only $15 to get in. Think full access

pit pass. For the $15 you get to watch practice, 45+ heat races + semi's and finals. Great day.

nice pix 2point1.  and does look like fun.  I've got to learn how to take better fotoz.  bought a decent DSLR a while back but don't get off my couch enough during free time to really learn how to use it.

Very cool, that's much harder than it looks, like most racing.

Is there a guy around there named Robby McLendon? He does quite a bit of dirt and asphalt racing around there, owns a bike shop.

I always liked this 6 cylinder inlines....beautiful.
