Woofers and Tweeters
Haven't seen these before
DizRotus
Nor have I. Furthermore, a cursory search produced no evidence that E-V ever produced such a model. The tweeter and squawker horn are definitely E-V, but that doesn't mean the bass bin was produced at 600 Cecil St., Buchanan, MI.
Woofers and Tweeters
The horns look like what was in the Patrician 700.
DizRotus
I doubt E-V would have mounted that tweeter that way, with the clearance hole for the magnet showing above and below the T35 horn. I suspect it's a real La Scala bass bin that has been bastardized, for some reason.

The T35 was designed to go vertical... I'd imagine if EV designed that, they would have "at least put their horn in correctly" So really, what you have there is a LaScala with a different midrange (presuming K33 downstairs)
DizRotus
Similarly, Speakerlab used the same T35 and E-V squawker horn in vertical orientations in the 7.
Coytee
The midrange was designed to go vertical? (never knew that)
DizRotus
My recollection is that both T35 and that E-V midrange horn were optimized for vertical orientation, but could also be mounted horizontally.
SiliconTi
Yeah, that is a home-brew. I can not see any manufacturer mounting the tweeter in such a Mickey Mouse fashion.
Coytee
If you look behind the tweeter, you can see the hole that the magnet went through.
Frzninvt
La Scala bass bin with home brewed top sectiion. Could all be home built.
DizRotus
That mid-range horn appears to be the E-V 8HD diffraction horn. E-V recommended that it be mounted with the long dimension in the vertical axis, as in the Speakerlab 7 above.
