jwc Posted March 30, 2017 Posted March 30, 2017 I put this question to many Academic MD's in the past......clueless. Quote
jimjimbo Posted March 30, 2017 Posted March 30, 2017 Are there no more manly secrets left? How distressing..... Quote
CECAA850 Posted March 30, 2017 Posted March 30, 2017 Well, it actually has a name. That will be my factoid for the day. I believe that they're directly proportional to pressure. Quote

hsosdrummer Posted March 30, 2017 Posted March 30, 2017 George Carlin talked about this back in the 70s. I believe he used the term "piss shivers". Quote

Shiva Posted March 30, 2017 Posted March 30, 2017 I have read of this and a possible why. When one takes a pee, the body heat stored in it is leaving the building so to speak, the body detects a slight diminishment in body temperature, which could then induce a slight chill. I have also read of the reason behind the sleep jerk explained, that I don't remember though. Quote

I'm afraid I have to go with this one....after all, who better to explain the shivers than the shiva? 1 Quote

I think chicks do experience that as well, they first get the shivers and complain when the seat is cold, then the next chill hits and they just wrap it up with the first one, they don't investigate the whys like men do and they are too busy thinking about what they are going to do once they get up, that they forget the whole thing entirely anyways. Next time you have to sneeze, see if you can simply exhale instead. That is an even better feeling, but might take some practice. Quote
JJkizak Posted March 31, 2017 Posted March 31, 2017 Just be glad the pee-pee comes out. Isn't that what got the two headed alligator mad? JJK Quote
