jimjimbo
First of all, you should reference a fairly recent thread in which @CECAA850, aka Carl the Martini Master, rebuilt a pair of AL's. He did great work, but it wasn't a small job, and as stated earlier, I wouldn't recommend doing that on a pair that you are selling. What crossovers do you have in the pair of La Scala's that you have at home and are keeping? (Almost) every Klipsch crossover has a schematic posted in the Tech/Mods Section. Look there for the crossover you want to update, and multiply the caps you need by 2 to accommodate both speakers networks. You can buy the parts you need from Bob Crites or a myriad of other places, such as Parts Express.
pat_in_dfw
I have 3 of the industrial LaScalas for my theater and I haven't opened then up. The seller of the L/R told me the caps were changed in 2016 and the L/R use a Crites tweeter. Patrick

derrickdj1
The old toe tap and head boob is a good gage on how the speakers sound.
Moderators Travis In Austin Posted April 4, 2017 Moderators Share Posted April 4, 2017 I'm going to try and get Klipsch to furnish their genuine replacement parts kit, AND the engineer who is responsible for updating their crossover designs to lead the class/demonstration. I will update what I find out on that, and if that doesn't work we will maybe go with a Plan B. Travis
