HDBRbuilder
E= Export. Audio International, Frankfurt, West Germany was the distribution Company for what used to be called "The EUSAREUR Audio/Photo Clubs" system. Any European U.S. Military Base of any type which had one of the "Audio Club" stores on it were selling heavily-discounted audio and photo equipment to Military Personnel on those bases. I was over there from 1973-1976, and lots of Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, and Marines bought lots of very nice stuff at those stores, which were operated ON BASE. The Klipsch Products sold were Decorator Heresys and LaScalas...No K-horns or anything else...until a bit after I left when speakers made by Klipsch specifically for the military market ONLY came out, but those were sold through the Military Exchanges network. The Military Exchanges network saw the hand over fist money the Audio Clubs were making and horned-in on the action...by selling the same items, which REQUIRED the Audio Clubs to discount out remaining inventory of those items because their contract to sell on post stated that they could not carry the exact same items that the military exchange system also carried...so as the Exchange system started to flesh out its lines of top of the line audio and photo equipment, the Audio Clubs were forced out of business. So finding some of these stateside is not exactly that strange of an occurrence.
