If you're ever traveling on I-69 near Auburn, Indiana, visit the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Museum. It ran hill climbs, mille miglia and targas during that period also. Wood upper frame, magnesium block and wheels. I really don't think the model has a designation, it's a factory race car... though there was a few road going autos released. The company was started by a small group of ex. BMW engineers. I do believe this is the same car from a few decades later and it's new owner... car had been redone at this point.
