Revchas
I have a 50 x 50 large hall with 2 280's 440 center 112 SW and 2 250's Surround. The tv is in one corner with the Sony 1070 receiver and the speakers. It will be used for movies and music. Any thoughts on best way to calibrate a setup like this? Thanks
JohnA
Lots of damping (oriental rugs on the walls? heavy curtains?), more subwoofers and try to setup the listening area as 1/4 of the space, to be closer to the speakers. The normal calibration tones in your receiver or Pre/Pro and a handheld sound meter will do the calibration. If you have Audessey, run it after a quick calibration with the test tones.
