I was thinking about the same thing because I like to evaluate and track prices.  I don't know how to value the speaker because of the issue of removing the carpet then having to refinish.  Logically the carpet is being held on by staples or glue. 

 

In either case I would think there would be some damage to the cab.  The average price of a LS is still close to $900 even in poor condition.  I think a price closer to $750 might be a better one for a LS that is covered in carpet.

Not to worry, the carpet on the top of the first LS should decouple the sound from the second.  B)
