Let's skip the canned speeches, nylon weaved flag waving (made in China), super-safe fireworks (what no cherry bombs!) No what American really needs at this time of its greatest testing, besieged and beseeched by enemies and friends bo hwithin and without. No what we really need are patriotic album covers. I know I'm proud of the ones I own. Don't need no holiday to trot them out either. No my fellow Americans, let us come together, put aside our preferences for country, jazz, noogie rock, soul, funk, metal, Americana, folk, blues, old wave, new wave. punk, hair, salsa, reggae, whatever. (rap was deliberate excluded form the last sentence). I know I own a few, and from time-to-time I run them up the flagpole for all to see.
