I sold my Pioneer SC35 and ordered a new AVR to use as a pre pro.. I wish it had balanced, but it doesn't

Nice. Curious about the balancing though. I can't tell what balanced gets you other than less noise specifically over very long runs. Is there more to it than that?

frankly... there isn't much in the wyred line I would buy besides this DAC.

Maybe the music server, but I DON'T network my music at all.

Not sure I completely agree with the balance need... I think I will be okay with the other interconnects options because that's part of the analog stage. If you were referring to the output.
