I had a pair of La Scala's in college. I like the sound of these better than the sound I remember from them. It's been 20 years, so I might be fooling myself. I remember being disappointed with the bass, which was more important to me back then.

I love the bass from my La Scalas, but it does drop off quickly. Without adding a sub, the problem can be mitigated somewhat by adjusting the crossovers to drop the mids output about 3db or a little more.  The Fortes should be great on their own.

Did you have the LS in a dorm room or in off campus housing?

Got this with birthday money(yes parents still send a card and $$$) today through Amazon and all set up on the G-SHOCK app.  Quad sensors: altimeter/barometer, temperature, compass, step counter.  This thing does a lot.

It rocks.  Big and bold.

Nice.  I like all of those instruments.  Throw in a hygrometer and its perfect.  I just dont want them in a wrist watch since I dont wear one.  Maybe there is another way...something like the size and shape of the casio pq-40u.

I teetered back and forth between it and the twin sensor model(GG1000-1A3) and for only $30.00 more for the quad sensor it was a no brainer decision.

For such a large watch, it does not wear that way.  I have a small/medium wrist at 6.9 inches and it fits nice and snug with no prominent gaps.
