Coincidentally.

Sheesh - I should have listened more, played less in high school.

Thank you Professor --

I play the drums (for 55 years); I only dabble in keyboards. I studied music in high school and college; and along with harmony, theory, arranging, sight-singing, orchestra, band, music history, etc., I also took a keyboard class, so I learned basic technique. But it's been 45 years since I had to put most of it into practice, so I'm kind of back to square one. But it's like it was when I was first learning drums: even the simple things are a challenge, so there's a wonderful sense of accomplishment when I make progress. And it keeps the brain from calcifying.

That synth probably has drum effects also....it's great you can combine the two.

I probably shouldn't promote a drum machine to a drummer!

Saw a movie where a former drummer is watching his nephew’s band audition drummers. he goes nuts when one “drummer” shows up with a drum machine.

Turntable porn,,,,,,

Picked this up today from Craigslist. Seller was a fun guy that had a setup he inherited from his Dad. He had photos of him with the stuff when he was a kid. Sorta cool. He had one too many Thorens TD 160 turntables so I helped him out and bought this:

Nice.

:) Not really a reply to @oldtimer, but was just looking for some input. (Did not see a way to "just post it" without doing a reply.")  Found a pair of Chorus II's in Tampa, FL for about $500. They have some veneer damage and lousy grilles, but think "I have to get these" :) . Have Cornwall I's and Forte I's (both with Crites' Ti diaphragms) as well as 6 pair of KG series speakers. No clue what I would do with them :)  Got he "price listing from @wvu80 (thanks again) and think it might be worth it. Buy it or not? :) Appreciate your inputs.

Cheers, Emile

Sure, why not.  I bought a beater pair of black ones for $200.  As long as they work you can find a use.

Add-on ...

Could use them to replace my KG5.2, currently used as rears in my 7.1 living room system. Overkill? Or, replace my Forte I's in my "stereo room," and use those Forte's as rears?
