Myth843
When I was about eleven, I used money from my allowance and lawn-mowing jobs to save up and purchase a record player. I subsequently used all of my funds to start a record collection. I had a sizable collection and encyclopaedic knowledge of all the various musical genres by the time I was 18 years old. That led to me getting a part-time job at a radio station while I was a student, which led to getting a job in the music section of a library, which led to getting a job as an IT specialist in the library, which led to my current profession in IT. Aside from that, my adult personality was shaped by all of that musical exposure. That ancient turntable owes a lot of what I am now.

Finished the X-wing fighter First hour was fun, then it became a pain in the a$$ as there are 4 wings that are almost identical - but the instructions do just one by one by one by one. Too much repetition for me (at least I did the last 2 wings simultaneously). Haha; could never do the Titanic with TWENTY TIMES the pieces Actually, think Lego's were more fun 50 years ago when one had to use their imagination to come up with designs

Racer X
Yes, blue water, white wax, which is white on the bottom, then turns blue when migrating to the top. Hard to keep score or figure who is winning....

Several years ago, two of us spent at least four hours repairing a 27" LL, distilled water and epsom salts drop by drop, waiting for the reaction. We got it functional: the water is clear, but the wax is not quite the same. It still "lavas" today and no one is going to trash a 27" LL.
Racer X
Damn retread.... While it may look similar to #8403, it is Lava lamp manufactured 2 28 22 in China, $25 at Target. Interesting the thread suggested a dimmer for 24/7 operation. I get about 8 hours from the 25W bulb until it needs a rest to cool down.
