Well, have no idea if I'll ever get my belongings back. Rebuilding is $$ and the thievery of sentimental things still angers me.

So, the stereo was up next. I've got an amplifier now!

70wpc with the EL34's had move volume than this room can handle. 85wpc with the KT120's definitely means somehow this has to head for the den!

By the way... whoever said bass needed a separate amp in an analog setup has not heard one of these.

If there was something close to Ford Blue on a car I drove it would be a `67 Hatchback/Fastback Mach 1 like my bud from Concord had long ago! 429 4spd, steel braided hoses everywhere (he worked at a shop that made them) NASCAR's big around there.

My fancy Honda is my last vehicle, & yea it's got the paddle shifters. If everything had gone smoothly... My Dream Cars are all MOPARS!!

Not a hemi, but a 440 Six-Pack, it would work:P

I'll take the 440 any day.

Yes those four barrels in the back opening up at once are awesome in third prior to the shift or in fourth!

My experience was in a balanced/blueprinted `65 GTO 389 with that carb setup!

Decent mileage around town on that first two barrel, unlike two fours on a hemi!

In high school I had a '66 Le Mans w/389 three deuces and a Muncie Rock Crusher. Get it up to about 120 or so and watch the gas gauge drop in real time. Wheel hop from hell on launch. Sold it to buy a Kawasaki H2 and the kid I sold it to wrapped it around a telephone pole within two weeks. Shame.

Yes that is, all it lacked was the trip to Jenkins & Jenkins on the West-Side for the balanced and blueprinted version of one of those marvelous Pontiac 389's!! An old Chevelle a couple brothers had could raise the front tires over a tall-boy brewski! Took a week to get the pictures back then.

Oh it wasn't just any old 389. Guy I bought it from (boss) owned a automotive machine shop. It was scary out of the hole once I learned how to do it. Just beat on the clutch just at the edge of wheelspin as you fed it the gas it felt like the front wheels were off the ground. They weren't just felt that way.

Hi George,

no pre yet

PrimaLuna &

KP-301A's (first version) 101 db sensitivity.

I can tell you this is nothing like those cheap hybrid chi-monos I've had a few years. I already compared the 301s to the LaScala without their superb imaging... Clear concise highs and mids, tight bass, just a perfect package!

This combo I lucked into a great match, silky smooth mids bright treble and GOOD BASS. Might be half speaker ( 4 ohm woofer, good horns), half amp (listen to Kevin @ Upscale Audio).

I'm very pleased with the sound and the volume.

I've been looking for "nice" pair for many years. Had a pair years ago and loved them but it was always

on to newer, bigger and better then. Boxes are marked "heavy" by Canada Post. I'm to bushed to unpack them today. More tomorrow.
