It just recently started making a rhythmic knocking sound which sounds almost like someone like dragging something heavy along a wooden floor, even when the input cable is not connected (I actually thought that somebody was dragging something along the floor upstairs), The sound is also similar to a hammer (somewhat high-pitched for a sub) against wood many times in rapid succession. It happens for varying lengths and it has no particular pattern of when it happens or for how long. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! Just for grins, you can try it in another outlet to be sure it's not some sort of interference being picked up where it currently sits.
