justin240
I'm running a pair of rf-82's, an rw-12 and an rc-62. I'm looking for a great all around receiver. I listen to mostly music by turntable and ipod with about 25% watching movies. What do you recommend for a receiver that best compliments my setup? I'd like to keep it around $1000...Thanks! hansgruber
Get a last season model and pocket the change. I picked up a 6011 marantz clearance new for half of original retail price. 9.2 receiver it's the best value. willland
Do you have to have all the latest and greatest modern features or could you give up a few for excellent sound quality and an "affordable" price? Is HDMI important? Bill
justin240
I don't necessarily need all the bells and whistles, although I would say it's a plus to have usb and hdmi connectivity.
vigiano
I stated with an Denon 1804 90w and then I bought a Marantz 7007, 125 x7 and an Emotiva Xpa3, 200wx3 channels. The difference between each upgrade in power was significant. It wasn't louder just much better sound especially with music. I just brought my turntable down after 30 years in the attic and the quality of music sound from the records is so much better.
