Of more interest to me was the origin. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quindar_tones I was not aware of the technology behind the beeps and back in the day had not distinguished the different pitch. However in the recording provided, they are distinguishable. I did some math. The difference in freq is a bit more than a half note. The freqs don't correspond to standard musical notes though.
