Angleing K 402s down?s

Is there any advantage to angleing K 402s down in a small room? I notice that most images of Jub setups they are set up parallel to the jub bass bins top surface. Oddly though the K402s sled is adjustable where the driver sits in back, but the front brackets that hold the front lower portion of the horn are fixed with an L shaped bracket, and would need to be bent. Any thoughts? Thanks!

What's your ceiling height?  If it is less than ~9 feet (~2.7 m), then aiming the K-402 axes down toward the floor will move the beginning of the ceiling first reflection point toward the listener, thus reducing the level of early reflections at the listening positions. This is a good thing, but it requires carpet on the floor to absorb floor bounce.  Other than that, the K-402 has very even coverage across its coverage band, so all you're really doing by aiming it down is moving the beginning and the end of the coverage pattern on the ceiling/floor.

I think that this is the second time that we've talked about this.  I believe that Roy (or his designer) designed the adjustment mechanism like that in order to avoid having to add even more hardware that could rattle or simply increase the cost of the unit without providing any return on the investment.  Those front brackets are meant to be "bent".   Actually, they don't bend very much at all even if the adjustment mechanism is slid full scale.
