mungkiman
"As is customary when a business has a data breach, Equifax is offering customers free credit monitoring using its own breached service, a response that Kalember calls “utterly farcical”." JJkizak
They should be made to pay the entire monetary cost of every instance of I.D. theft connected with the hack. That would teach them something about proper security procedures instead of profit. JJK
Wrinkles
You can get a free credit report yearly from the 3 major credit report companies to check your credit history, identify credit card accounts you thought you closed and loans you did not open (happened to me). They are free and you can space them out, one every 4 months if you like. Times have changed and you need to be ever vigilant, unfortunately. MyOwn
Pour salt on the wound....LOL, what a crock of BS.... Equifax Is Trying To Make Money Off Its Massive Security Failure http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/equifax-breach-2017_us_59b2dae8e4b0b5e531062976?ncid=inblnkushpmg00000009
tigerwoodKhorns
I heard on the news that they are offering free credit monitoring for one year..in exchange for a waiver of any claims against them. Screw them, I am offended by that offer. Look into freezing your credit if you do not need any new accounts or loans.
