Need some help deciding on new receiver: Yamaha or Pioneer Elite

Hey guys, I'm upgrading to an atmos 7.2.2 setup and need some help picking a new receiver.  My current setup is a as follows:

Pioneer Elite VSX-32

Fronts: RF-82s

Center: RC-62ii

Side and rear surround; RS-52iis

Sub: Hsu research VTF-2

 

I am very happy with my current receiver and if was atmos capable I wouldn't need to upgrade.  The atmos speakers will be in ceiling Klipsch speakers.  Im looking at the following 2 receivers.  The pioneer elite SC LX701 or 801 or the Yamaha RX-A2050.  System is mainly used for movies and some gaming.  Looking for any opinions/suggestions from anyone who has experience with both.  I have never had a Yamaha receiver but have heard great things about them.  One of my main concerns between the two is their ability to upmix non-dolby atmos tracks and use the ceiling speakers.

I don't think you can go wrong with either.  My choice would be the Yamaha if I had to choose.

Even though the Yamaha RX-A2050 is now a discontinued product, it probably has the better warranty and better customer reviews.

Yamaha's Aventage series receivers are warrantied for 3 years in the USA and 4 years in Canada.

I've only had one Pioneer receiver and didn't really have any problems with it per se but I've had multiple Yamaha receivers and they just seem to operate better.  I just upgraded from an HTR-5960 that was at least 10 years old and still works great, I moved it to the garage.
