oldtimer
It's interesting how Emerson's keyboards have so much more power than an entire orchestra.

I'm not sure it is so easy, or there would be a lot more people doing it. I imagine that the orchestra was recorded with a mixing board also. I love orchestral music, but I am also amazed at Emmo's sound with his keyboards. I know I would rather have the choice of either, rather than one or the other.

Hammond b3 and bass pedals + amplification.. a mixing board were you can adjust the eq ..and control the volume...with a slider.. and a controlled environment.. orchestrations open air recording with a few microphones and a board.. but seated at the show...the conductor is the mixing board.. dirtmudd
I forgot you have 1 person on the keyboards...in a orchestra you have many...all with there own input... but don't take my word for it... I know nothing... the person to ask is Gary aka tigerman..
