Animals As Leaders is another instrumental band to check out. Progressive mixed with thicker riffs, fun stuff.

Here's one that shows the drummer playing along with their recorded track. He really starts tweaking at 3:45.

This guy Gavin Harrison is an amazing drummer. He has played with King Crimson, The Porcupine Tree, The Pineapple Thief among others. Truly one of a kind with amazing fills. Hope you like him too.

Totally understand.

Back to some clean vocals. This band popped up during the Creed era. He has a similar timbre and delivery, but I've always liked this song. Still gives me a great feeling.

They kind of remind me of Fuel.

Hasn't been on my radar, but definitely is now. Thanks!

My buddy is a drummer and introduced me to him. I have been listening to his stuff with Pineapple Thief and Porcupine Tree for the past three days. Good stuff.

As I have said before, The Pineapple Thief, Porcupine Tree, and a lot of Steven Wilson (also Gavin Harrison) has incredible bass and dynamics.  Really shows off great speakers.  Gavin also played for OSI on a few albums, another really well recorded group.

P.S. The Pineapple Thief's new album, Dissolution, will be released on the 31st of August.  The song "White Mist", above, is from that new album.
