How to Post a YouTube Video to Start at a Specific Time

I was asked how to do this and thought others might want to know, too.

Check out the picture.  Notice the area outlined in green.  It includes a question mark and the time in minutes and seconds, like this:  "?t=2m2s"

There are 2 ways to do this:  manually and automatically.  In both cases, you have to click "share" (Step 1).  After Step 1, you can enter the time expression manually in the Share box's link using the same pattern.

If you don't want to do it manually, you can check the "Start at" box (Step 2), and it will enter the time expression for you based on the current play position in the song.  It works best if you pause the video before pressing share; otherwise, the time counter continues changing as the video continues to play.

Then, you can press "copy" (Step 3).  "Copy" will embed the link in your clipboard and you can paste it anywhere, such as in this forum, by pressing Ctrl/V (or right-clicking and choosing "paste.")

This is how I've always done it.  Good info.
