I agree it would be best to win the next game, and that winning 2 on the road would be difficult, but stranger things have happened. This series shows the importance of home field advantage. Verlander will pitch in LA, under NL rules. As a recent Detroit Tiger, he is not an experienced major league hitter. IIRC, he got his first hit relatively recently in an inter-league game.
