Frank Varnado
I have tried both the RSB-6 and RSB-8 soundbars with my LG Smart TV. I've connected output to soundbar using fiber optic cable. When a movie, etc. is paused, or TV turned off the soundbar times out. It won't power back on unless I disconnect power and reconnect. Anybody know what's going on with this? FranktheTank
I have the same problem. Basically makes my soundbar useless. seems to power down after some time of inactivity. And never turns back on, have to force power with taking the plug.
sharp3d
Hello @Frank Varnado and @FranktheTank I am having the exact same issue with my RSB-6. After significant sound idle/pause the RSB-6 turns itself off and won't power back on unless I disconnect and reconnect the power cable. Did either of you come up with a fix? Did you just take it back? Thanks for your help.
Travis2
I've got a RSB-8 that does the same thing. Reading forums and reviews - this is a very prevalent issue. I'm surprised there's been no action from Klipsch . I'll try the firmware update. If that doesn't work, it's getting returned for being defective. Hankgt40
Same issue, had it 2 days. First time unplugged it to reset, now on the 3rd shutdown and won't come back on. Any new resolutions?
LaScala_Fan
I have the RSB-14 and RSB-11 and have the same issue. Does anyone from Klipsch know how to resolve? It only started after hooking up the optical out from my TV. As a lifetime Klipsch advocate I would like to know what to do with this. The soundbar is useless until it is unplugged and plugged back in which is not easy to get to in my application.
CraigG
I'd suggest making sure your soundbar(s) have the latest firmware installed, if you haven't already. https://www.klipsch.com/firmware
