cantrelhm
I play a pair of KP 250 ii and have for years. Recently at a gig both speakers became real bassy. I have an older pair of kp 250 and sound great so the board is not the problem. I replaced the 33 uf caps on the crossovers but to no avail. There doesn't seem to be any damage to the woofers. I'm kinda at a loss. Anyone experence anything like this or have any suggestions. Thanks cantrelhm
CECAA850
Check the tweeters, you may have fried them.
cantrelhm
Thanks I'll give it a try. Used a new power board last time, could be to much for the old girls. cantrelhm
CECAA850
The tweeters are the first to go when the speakers are over driven. Lack of top end makes a more pronounced bottom end. Check them with an ohm meter. I'll bet they read open. Disconnect them from the crossover prior to checking.
