Hi,

I'm about to purchase

2x RP280's, 1x 450C, 1x 115SW and 2x RP260 (rear surround)

I'm looking at this receiver

https://www.amazon.com/Denon-AVRX3400H-Channel-Network-Receiver/dp/B072Z9ZGSZ/ref=dp_ob_title_ce

Will this be able to drive the speakers above?

Is there any forum favorite Receiver for this set up? I'm looking at most to go to maybe 7.2 or 5.2 setup in the future.

The 3400 is an outstanding choice.

In the same $1000 price range is the Marantz SR-6011.  It is a 2016-17 model and was just superseded by the 2017-18 model.  It was $1400 a few months ago before the new model came out.  This is one model down from the flagship model.

I own the 6011 and run it mostly bi-amped in 5.1 mode.  It will run Atmos in 5.2.4 (four Atmos modules) a step up from the 2 Atmos  module setups.

Marantz and Denon are now owned by the same company.  In general the Denon is considered a little more bright, the Marantz a little more warm.

This sounds interesting because I just bought a pair of the R26 F towers and SW12 woofer replacing a pair of Def Tech Pro 800 wall speakers.  The receiver I have is an Onkyo TX NR 626 which is on the bright side to begin with and now with the Klipsch towers it sounds even brighter.  I previously had a Denon but the unit was outdated in terms of Dolby.  Thinking maybe I should consider selling the Onkyo and getting a Denon or Marantz receiver.
