Frzninvt Posted March 21, 2019 Share Posted March 21, 2019 Would it not be easier to swap out the harsh titanium diaphragm in the tweeter and replace it with a phenolic, poly or silk version if they exist. I have never cared for titanium tweeters they sound harsh and spitty to me I was first exposed to them eons ago with MB Quart car components and some of the JBL L series line. 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
kink56 Posted March 21, 2019 Share Posted March 21, 2019 Yes, you can get phenolic for both the tweeter and mid. I had Forte III and I prefer my Forte I and Forte II over it. However I did put Ti tweeters in. I tried Ti midrange and I found that is what I did not like. For me the best combo is phenolic midrange and Ti tweeters.
