RT FAN
Jittery dude was probably a meth head. Thanks for the heads up on Mr. Dawson.
JohnA
Dan turned me onto Gulley, who had a ...... 1967 H700 .... just like MINE! But Gulley didn't have a phone that took pics and pushed *really* hard to get my address. I was assured it was in perfect condition and they only wanted $335 plus Walmart fees (?). Don't bite on "Dan".

CHASLS2
This why i only buy local. Plus shipping speakers is taking a risk anyways. I have done around 10,000 telescopes and parts deals since the 70's and have been lucky and never got taken. But with other stuff it is risky. amb3cog
For speakers. Yes local is definitely the best, but for most other things. I'm fine with buying off forums, and such. I've not had any problems. And with PayPal you're protected. That's why this scammer was trying to use another service. Even local you can have problems too. I trust the guys on this forum more then I do just some random person who has no big love/respect for our hobby. But like anything else in life. There's always risks. Just have to be careful, use due diligence, and pay attention to your instincts too.
