I only browse the listings once in a while to see if there's anything interesting.  Have never used it to buy or sell.

I haven't for a long time.  They kept changing it around and it seemed more and more of a dealers adjunct site than a place to buy and sell and chat with individuals.  Last thing I did there was to get a sunfire pre-pro from an individual.  It was a good transaction.

I use to use Audiogon all the time until all the changes, now I find it much easier to use US Audio Mart!!!

Check it daily mostly out of habit. Appears US Audiomart has taken a fair share of business from AGon when looking at total listings.The higher-end seems to still favor AGon.

I stopped when they changed it back in around 2011 or 2012.  Dropped it like a bad habit. 

 

Don'r reinvent the wheel.  Check where Gregg markets his Volti stuff and do it there.

I check it everyday, just bought two amps on there last week great transaction. eBay seems to be the best place to sell from my experience at least for what I sell.

I need a pass word recovery option, he, he.  To much acedotal info and wrong info.  Research deserve much better on many topics.  Don't want to hear feelings. Need objective data.

New to audiogon - don't know how big the audience is.

Ebay's buyer audience is HUGE! Selling rates is 10%...ridiculous.

Yeah, if you open a basic store through them for $20 a month it drops to 6% though.

I used to buy and sell at Audiogon but stopped selling when the kept raising their rates. US Audio Mart  / Cannuck Audio Mart is free to sell (at least for now).  I do look at Audiogon to buy as it doesn't cost anything for buyers.  There was a time when Audiogon was free.

I've used the "Bartertown" section at Audiokarma.org, but you have to pay a few bucks to be a forum supporter to access that part of the site.  I've found it to be a decently liquid market, but it leans toward vintage gear.  I've bought and sold a few things on there with no issues.

A while back I saw a turntable I wanted to buy on AG. I sent multiple messages thru all available contact points to AG as my log on did not work. ZERO response..zip..day after day. Finally a gent (from this forum) stepped in and put me and the seller together. Deal done but AG never responded to my numerous  requests. I watch my items of interest being advertised / sold  as one point of current value but I would never give AG a dime based on my experience.

 

bottom line in my case AG support is a failure

A 30 day ad on AudioGoN ran me $13 , which I think is pretty reasonable at 2.5%.

 

10% for eBay is insane, wow.
