wuzzzer
My new receiver has dual subwoofer preamp outputs. My old one had a single. With my Crown amp I run a single RCA to XLR cord to connect them. I have two subwoofers connected to the Crown. One option the Crown has is to take a single input and double it if you have two subwoofers connected. Pretty convenient if you only want to run one cable. However, with my new receiver having dual sub outputs it got me thinking as to whether or not there would be any benefit to connecting both to my amp. Moderators Youthman Posted December 23, 2017 Moderators Share Posted December 23, 2017 I wouldn't see there being any benefit myself.
Schu
you need a second crown... Ive heard the pioneer dual outputs really work well as far as MCACC is concerned... but i only have a single subwoofer
RoboKlipsch
MO is you can do better integrating them in the crown and using 1 input
JohnA
7.4! I can set each of my 2 sub levels separately, somewhat correcting for placement issues. Use both outputs.
wuzzzer
Thanks guys. Next time I need to order from monoprice I'll throw an extra cable in there and give it a try.

If I'm understanding correctly, that won't help. Whether using one or both outputs they will connect to the single Crown amp, which then goes out to power the two passive subs. He would need two amps, one for each sub to use the level matching for dual sub outputs available in his AVR.
