No fires at Rodneys this year.  How's he doing by the way @dtel's wife ?

He’s doing ok. “Taking it easy” is a difficult task for Rodney. That’s the real struggle.

There are still some cool evenings in May. We shall see.

Why May this year?  Seem that it gets closer to summer every year.

Klipsch corporate was booked all through April. First week of May didn’t work for Kevin with outdoor system. Second weekend of May is Mother’s Day!

No sir. It’s still a forum led event.

Then why does it matter if corporate was booked in April?  Just curious.

This event is still forum member/fan directed. Klipsch corporate has come to love the Pilgrimage as much as we do. I’ve heard several of them say they had no idea what it was about and that they will never miss another Pilgrimage. Even though they have cut our budget this year their financial contribution to the event continues to be significant. Without their monetary support our contributions would be drastically increased.

The pilgrimage would be fine even with no contributions from them.  This iteration started as a dozen (13 exactly) of us getting together to listen to music, have a few drinks and enjoy each others company.  It was a blast.  I griped enough the next year and got a tour going.  There were no corporate dollars involved that I'm aware of.  We collected monies and fed the workers.  It was truly grass roots.  I'd certainly like to see it kept forum centric.  If Klipsch corporate contributes, ok, they don't, that's ok too.  It has nothing to do with our love of the product and the workers.  I just want to be sure it's about the members here first and foremost.  It seems that the personal element of a gathering is starting to wane when you need to sign a release to gather with close friends you've made over the years here on the forum.  You'll have to pardon the rant and I may be the only one that feels this way but I would like to honor PWK and his employees without the people I'm honoring doing a lot of dictating the when.  Does that make sense?  Hopefully that didn't come across as harsh as that was not my intent.  I loved the informality that we used to have.  I also appreciate all the behind the scenes hard work that you do.  This is not about that.
