Arrow#422
Not sure the 201's have the K42 https://memphis.craigslist.org/msg/d/klipsch-kp-201-speakers/6463306056.html But believe the 250's do: https://miami.craigslist.org/mdc/ele/d/klipsch-professional-kp-250/6427834765.html parts are parts are parts

TFR1
I do not know all of the speaker models that used the Klipsch K-42, 12" woofer. Over the past months I have acquired two, but they are not the same. Klipsch made a "cast" frame K-42 and a "stamped" frame model. I have one of each. My preference is a pair of stamped frame K-42's. I understand that buying a pair of NEW Delta Pro 12's would be easier. jerry

For the short term using the two woofers you have would work just fine, honestly don't think there's a difference between the two sound wise. TFR1
@jjptkd You are probably correct about performance. My desire is to follow the Super Heresy recipe that Claude provided. Jerry
Dave A
The K-42-K is a different size than the K-42-KP in the KP-250's UNLESS you have one of the earlier 80's models. I have gone round and round with the K-42-KP's and nothing from Eminence fits without routing larger or is smaller than the stock Klipsch hole. TFR1
@Dave A Pics of my 2 woofers are below. Because Heresy I's have back mounted woofers, both appear to fit the Hersey cabinets.
jjptkd
I've used both of those type before, basically the same exact woofer just different baskets. I believe the steel stamped frame versions I had were removed from the KSM-12 stage monitors.

I guarantee you will hear a significant difference between the two. Jerry, if you could install both and do some testing, and if you have the time, please report on your findings.

TFR1
@Randyh Start here. This thread is several years old, but ClaudeJ1 revived it last December after some new interest. TFR1
When I made this WTB post for K-42's I didn't know they would be difficult to find. Still desire to build a pair of Super Heresy's with K-42 woofers. Please help if you can. Jerry
