To think that only certain individuals were thinker, while others, who disagreed with a particular point of view were malcontent, would be arrogant and condescending.

Uh-oh. Gilbert could be correct. I got kicked off of Facebook because evidently someone complained I wasn't who I said I was. :wacko: My wife is going to vouch for me but we'll see how that goes. It was either folks got bored with the Dead Sea Scroll discussion or the powers at be found fault with me commenting on how surprised I was that so many people get their news from FaceBook--Fwiw, none of it was noteworthy or even overly political....

How bizarre!  Gilbert and I assumed you left voluntarily because you didn't care for the group.   Was your only activity inside our group?

Hmmm, I thought you skipped town because Royboy turned the heat too high. I don't really understand a whole hell of a lot about facebook other than how to create an account. I definitely don't understand how one person can get another kicked off facebook. God knows there are some real dufases on there, so what's 1 more named Zen.

Anyway, and like Jeff, I'll be happy to vouch for you as well. I can show proof that you're a hypocrite, and therefore, by abstract, not who you say you are, and then they'll let you back in. B)

I may not always be right, but I'm never wrong.

It is bizarre, Jeff. I did leave the group voluntarily and the activity I had with friends on my page and theirs DEFINITELY didn't warrant it. Pretty much no blatant political discussions and talk about the Dead Sea Scrolls was just as exciting as they have ever been. LOL--I'm really thinking it's a snafu that has nothing to do with me.

Fascinating.  Certainly had nothing to do with the Heritage BS group.  You are missed there.

Dave

I am sure it wasn't. Fwiw, my comments there could have been made in public and no one would've complained.

I have no idea who "Royboy" is but if it's who I am thinking of gotta say he seemed to have issues that I don't feel like contributing to. I actually left because as you said yourself, you are there to rant and I seemed to be the only one in the line of fire and we've had that dance for over a decade and no longer wish to engage. Btw, I still encourage others to Join @Mallette group and see if the place is for you.  Others don't seem to mind the banter and if you agree with them it could be a fun place to vent as well.

Do you suspect that there was Collusion involved in your firing Zen? Some people are saying that there was No Collusion but I have a memo that I'm going to release that will prove otherwise. It's going to be bigly.

Hmmm, sounds interesting. Who wrote about the collusion? Was it a thick dossier like researched study, ooops, I mean a research report? Who prepared the report? Who provided the facts? Who paid to have the report written and why? What was the timing of the report, did it coincide with any particular event that was going on?

Probably was, but thats just a coincidence. So never mind. The important news is that you found that report underneath the toilet at the bus stop, before it got pissed on. Better hand it over to the really smart people to interpret the findings.

Thanks for playing.

Something caught my attention in the news today and I did a search for it on the forum and came up with some brilliant words and thoughts by one of our most prolific Klipsch Gurus. I did not bring this up for political reasons and PLEASE don't say anything to get either thread closed. My intention is to go back and read the  thread in it's entirety because it is a time capsule of valuable, important conversation!  Alot of history is in it and sadly one person had his comments removed and I can't believe I haven't come up on it before. :o It is MUST reading for anyone who misses access to the BS Forum.

I'm sure Greg is a mature adult, who places his faith in the Everlasting God. There is nothing in this thread that Greg hasn't already contemplated and prayed about.

We all know each other pretty well over here, I don't expect this to denegrate into name calling and mud slinging. If we can't debate and discuss the issue in a mature manner, then what does THAT say about us?

This forum is as much about the virtual relationships we maintain as the information we gleen regarding audio. We've gained respect for each, and this is simply just another issue that we can use to help each other grow and maintain some balance. There have been threads like this in the past, and because of them -- ended up reversing my position on some things (the concealed carry and pledge of allegience threads).

We ALL have posted topics dealing with personal issues. These topics always end up taking twists and turns. I simply cannot understand why anyone would get stressed about it.

I would rather have a discussion like this over here than almost anywhere else. I respect everyone over here, and I always learn a thing or two. I can't do this in General Forum -- I get chest pains.9.gif

Agreed.

I've said this before, but since I love repeating myself: I think the reason most Americans have become ignorant in the areas of politics and religion is because they never talk about politics and religion.

As far as the religious right goes -- what a shame. Somehow, we (religious right) were duped by the Republicans into thinking they were actually going to champion our cause (abortion issue). Most Christians have made the mistake of becoming one issue voters. As for me, I've decided more can be done through education and changing hearts -- then by building rule-sets that people will rebel against.

I completely forgot this discussion on this thread but, YES!  Not really collusion but feel they were making sure I wasn't a bot generated account.  Given what we know about FaceBook,I gotta believe  at the time they were scrutinizing new accounts given what the were being question by both Congress and the Mueller team. I posted political links trying to discuss the obvious and it brought up a red flag....I've noticed since then there doesn't really appear to be any real political discussion among friends going on....Every once in a while a shared meme. :rolleyes:

Consider China:

Although China’s constitution deals with citizens’ freedom of speech, the language has been vague, thus giving more space for the government’s arbitrary and unilateral judgements. For example, according to the Article 5 of the “Computer Information Network and Internet Security, Protection and Management Regulations,” issued by the Ministry of Public Safety in 1997, it states:

No unit or individual may use the Internet to create, replicate, retrieve, or transmit the following kinds of information:

  1. Inciting to resist or violate the Constitution or laws or the implementation of administrative regulations;
  2. Inciting to overthrow the government or the socialist system;
  3. Inciting division of the country, harming national unification;
  4. Inciting hatred or discrimination among nationalists or harming the unity of the nationalities;
  5. Making falsehoods or distorting the truth, spreading rumours, destroying the order of society;
  6. Promoting feudal superstitions, sexually suggestive material, gambling, violence, murder;
  7. Engaging in terrorism or inciting others to criminal activity; openly insulting other people or distorting the truth to slander people;
  8. Injuring the reputation of state organs;
  9. Other activities against the Constitution, laws or administrative regulations.

Is the Facebook group still going  @Gilbert and @Jeff Matthews, and has anyone else joined @Mallette?
