mccrodp
Hi all. I originally had a sound system design as attached, but I found it very hard to satisfy. Looked into Sonos, Marantz, Yamaha, amplifiers etc. I'm not so knowledgable about all this, just want to get a decent sound setup for my home and yoga center, which Zone 1 also doubles as a sitting room outside of class time. During yoga Zone 2 or Zone 1 & 2 will play the music for the class from a iPod line in. Outside of class I will use Zone 1 for playing vinyl on another line in to the amplifier. My house will be a small log house in Japan, each zone is 15m2. I have abandoned the idea of a Zone 3 in place of a Klipsch Capitol One for bluetooth or line in from laptop, or phone. http://www.klipsch.com/products/the-capitol-one Unless someone has better idea there. My main question is what amplifier is best with 4 x Klipsch R14Ms http://www.klipsch.com/products/reference-bookshelf-speakers? What about a Pioneer A-30, I've heard Pioneer are good with Klipsch? http://www.pioneer-audiovisual.eu/eu/def/products/30 Thanks a lot in advance. mccrodp
That or a Marantz amplifier, something like a PM 6006, would love to know if something like that would be a good match for these speakers. http://us.marantz.com/us/products/pages/ProductDetails.aspx?CatId=hificomponents&ProductId=PM6006 Any help appreciated. Cheers!

The answer to your main question is yes, and your second choice is also a good one, but you might consider expanding your search to include other units that have a better connection for your iPod, such as USB input, or Air Play if wireless convenience is important. mccrodp
Thanks a lot for your help @Khornukopia. I don't really need USB, as I'll be playing any item via a simple 3.5mm cable into an audio port on the wall like this which then goes to the AUX on the amplifier. https://www.amazon.com/RiteAV-3-5mm-Audio-Headphone-Plate-Decorative/dp/B00F6OWHCO From talking to a friend I decided not to go with the Pioneer A-30 as it's not as focused on quality of build or sound. Think I'll go with the PM6006 and perhaps even start with a pair of Denon SCM40s. They are an 8Ohm speaker and about between the size of the RM14 and RM15 by Klipsch. I know they work with this amp also and have that nice Cherry wood finish. I prefer the look and size of the RM14s though, but I've heard the Bass isn't so good on them and they're more expensive to import to Japan it seems. Still going to try to import the Capitol One speaker though, love the features and the finish, bit pricey but hoping it's worth it! Feedback or thoughts always welcome, thanks! Will add more once I purchase and test.
mccrodp
Just saw the scm41s by Denon are 2 way speakers, so not sure how to hook them up, or if they'll suit the Marantz PM6006 amp, considering their site for the speakers says: 'They perfectly complement the RCD-M41 or RCD-M41DAB within the famous D-M41 / D-M41DAB HiFi System' Edited January 27, 2018 by mccrodp Add quotation
