Max2
I'm wanting to move a TV above a stone fireplace on an exterior wall. Its a tongue and groove cathedral ceiling and running a cable internally is going to be impossible without some serious deconstruction. The room is 5.1 ready with ceiling speakers that are pre-wired to an electronics closet. I am using the wireless DTV mini boxes which seem to work well, but I am going to keep the mini box inside the closet for the multi channel audio hookup to the AVR and transmit the video to the TV. Its about 40 ish feet tops and will be passing through one wall. I have seen that J tech has some good stuff, but was wondering if anyone here has messed with this wireless hardware. Also, a IR repeater will be needed too for the AVR control. I will likely have to adjust the offset of audio.to video about 1/2 a second, which means a newer AVR might be in order as well. I don't believe in wireless anything, but in this instance I'm going to do it, just because its a seating area off of the kitchen. Any insight appreciated.
