I have 2 of the RP 280's 2 of the RP 160M's and a pair of RP 240S would you trade that set for 4 82 ii's and 2 62 ii's?

RP is supposed to be better and smoother than the IIs.  When  you start mixing 62IIs with surrounds, then you are mixing apples and oranges.  So, it depends on what you want for your listening solution and space.

The RP line sounds very good so you have to decide pretty much if the horn sound and balance of the RP is more to your liking than the IIs sound, sans tweaking.

Any advice would be helpful.... I am in a conundrum I can't figure out whether the amount of 8" in the 82's compared to the rp280's and the rp160's The surrounds don't bother me I will accept the 61's over the rp240s's I also have a rw-12d in the mix and an onkyo tx nr1030 avr

Sorry I made a mistake they are a pair of RB 61 ii not 62 ii if that makes any difference in what you mean by apples and oranges.....
