steve072330 Posted January 31, 2018 Posted January 31, 2018 I have an older Klipsch KSW12 subwoofer. There is a wooden ring that lays around the speaker. It apparently is glued on. It isn't secured with screws or anything else. It's fallen off of the speaker probably due to vibration over time. I'd like to reattach it but I don't know what kind of glue to use. I don't want to use just any glue and have it vibrate off again. If anyone could recommend a glue and/or a repair method for this I'd appreciate it. Thanks.. Quote
RRR Posted January 31, 2018 Posted January 31, 2018 If its wood to wood just get some quality wood glue such as Titebond, if not take a picture and post it so we can determine the best product for the repair. Quote
wuzzzer Posted January 31, 2018 Posted January 31, 2018 For the ring that goes around the edge that the screws go into just use any kind of super glue. Don't get any on the woofer itself. Quote
RRR Posted January 31, 2018 Posted January 31, 2018 That is just a mounting gasket, likely dense cardboard. Tacky glue is what i would use, it wipes off easy but plenty strong to hold that gasket in place. Quote
