La Scala roadtrip

I'm driving from Pittsburgh to NC tomorrow to pick up these lovely ladies. They look a little rough around the edges but its not often one finds four La Scala's with consecutive serial numbers. I'm assured they sound "as intended" and are all original which is promising (although I doubt I'll be able to resist the temptation to upgrade them.)  I'm hoping it'll be worth the 15 hours on the road. Apropos of upgrades, I'm a neophyte and would love some suggestions and advice.

I love road trips!

Be safe on the road, I hope your weather is good.  Check in while you are on the road if you can so we can see how things are going.

When you get back to Pit plug a pair in and we'll help you test the drivers by ear.  Those cabs looked a little rough but I think they will really clean up nicely.

Just need another one for a center channel.  :D

What do you mean?  He's got TWO to use for a center channel!  :D:D

I've heard a couple of setups with a 3 LS front end.  Truly the best soundstage I've ever heard.  It defines the term "seamless."
