audiocom superclock 2

Superclock sounds like a marketing nomenclature... you should be able to measure the accuracy of the clock and specify how accurate it is.

This relates to Jitter.

Seems like the most current top of the line day's are capable Femto accuracy... a 5 or 10 year old dac would not be.

Can someone school me on these superclock's?    would this superclock be a d/a converter?     Would this superclock 2 be a 24bit/192khz?     This is whats in my sony E333es  and would like to know so i can compare to newer players.   Thanks

As Schu says, the latest is femto clocking.  You have to wonder how accurate you need to be vs investment.

Dave,

I have an Audiocom Superclock 2 in a Rotel  RCD-991 (w/ damped transport by Alision Dynamics)  and it sounds amazing.  I purchased this CD player used and I was pleasantly surprised  when I discovered it had  a  Superclock 2 in it.   This clock was likely installed by Richard Kern when he did mods in 2003 or thereabouts.  I purchased this player on eBay from a seller located in Seattle.  Will be adding  Burson V6 discrete opamps  ( output stage)  and also upgrade the main power supply caps and others . With adjustable dither this CD player is an amazing redbook player.  Any questions you can reach me at  jackweston@comcast.net
