ckohan
I can get a set in very good condition with risers for $250-$300. I have read they are legendary and I should buy them quickly. Weird design. A woffer on the back of the speakers. (edit: I now realize the back is basically a fake speaker to help the bass.) SilverSport
One of the longest made and original in the kg series along with kg2s, the Kg4s are enjoyed by many and that price seems in the sweet spot... no rear facing woofer, those are on the front and there are two of them...the back has a passive radiator to extend the bass response...enjoy and good luck Bill
Audio Flynn
Never had a pair but would have bought a pair if I did not find the Chorus IIs and belles years ago.
dusty_bottoms
I love mine. I listened to them for about a year before installing the Crites tweeter mod and now wish I had done it immediately. I fear the KG4 is a gateway drug.
rplace
They were my very first pair of Klipsch speakers bought in late 80s early 90s, IIRC. Got them brand new from The Stereo Shop in Ann Arbor, MI. These speakers changed my life....well not maybe quite that big of a deal. Enough of memory lane. They sound great, I enjoyed them for many years. I'd still have them today if I did not keep moving up the Klipsch food chain. I can't imagine anyone being disappointed by them. 19 minutes ago, dusty_bottoms said: ... I fear the KG4 is a gateway drug. kevinmi
I had a pair and what I remember of them they were a decent pair of entry level speakers. But as stated before, the upgrade monster will be lurking...
Peter P.
What you've read and heard about the kg4 is true. The price is very reasonable. Buy them and you won't be disappointed-the forum never steers people wrong!
AndyKub
I too had a pair, but I don't miss them as I have the KHorns. Spoiled? You bet!
Indiana Drew
I had a pair for years until I traded them and a few dollars for a pair of '78 Heresys ...
jjptkd
Very nice for what they are, $250-$300 seems to be on the high side to me though unless they are WO and in mint condition. I've picked up a few set years back for around $150 in average condition.
