Best low cost Center Channel match for KG 4's?

I have an SC 1 now, it seems adequate, but wonder what I am missing by not having a better center channel. what would be the best low cost used step up? KV 2s and ( and not nearly as many KV 3s ) are available at low cost. I know the KG 2.5s would be better but much more expensive and very hard to find locally. I can buy a used KV2 for less than $50, and sell it for about that much if it does not work out

Thanks for your advice

Hate to say it, but another KG4. Good news is they are relatively cheap, though you wind up with an extra. I made my extra into the rear channel of a 6.1 setup.

My KG4 front three can't touch my basement theater but I am always impressed by how well they disappear and just let me enjoy what I am watching.

If I was after a single "center" to go between them I would peruse an Academy. I would prefer my center to be more capable in the mids, not less.

Many have recommended another KG 4 as a center channel, I probably can make this work if it was horizontal.,..and maybe over the TV if it must be vertical, but that is much more difficult,

How well would horizontal work?

Thanks

You would prefer a KG 2 over a KG 4 for a center channel? Because it would be easier to be vertical or for some other    reason?

Thanks

If the KG 4 is horizontal yes, horn dispersion is highly compromised. If you can stand the KG 4 upright it would be the best match.

Thank you all for your help and advice. For now, I am going to place the KG 4 on the floor vertically, 3 KG4's sound so wonderful and well blended..I do think a Crites tweeter upgrade makes sense, my two other KG 4's have this.
