SharkBike
Hello, I am trying to use the two input sources on the ProMedia 2.1 speakers, but the speakers will only play one source at a time. According to the manual, plugging in both the attached 3.5mm jack and the MP3 music input should result in the two sources being mixed into one output. However, when both are plugged in at the same time, the speakers will only play from the MP3 input and play no sound from the attached 3.5mm. They each work fine on their own, but as soon as both are plugged in only the MP3 input works. Has anyone encountered this issue before or is this a known issue? Thank you for any help! Paddy McQ
Just hooked up my new ProMedia 2.1 speakers and discovered the same problem. Unable to use both inputs simultaneously. I'm returning the speakers. I'm not going to plug and unplug jacks between my TV and my computer (in the den) whenever I want to use one of them. My guests aren't going to know to do this. I also have the previous version of the ProMedia 2.1 (from 2008) setup in my office. I have both my desktop PC and laptop PC connected and can play audio from either one without fiddling with jacks. Why fix what's not broken? And what's with the white spotlight LED on the front of the speaker, shining in your face? My older set has a soft green LED... and has a power switch.
