mbclark75
I'm looking to set up a new 5.1.2 theater system with floor speakers as my front. I currently have my walls wired to overhead speakers in all four corners which I am planning to use the two front overhead as my dolby atmos height speakers, and the two rear overhead as surround. My question is would it be best to use the RP-140SA as both front height & rear surround speakers, or could I use the RP-250S as both front height & rear surround, or would a combination of RP-140SA as front height and RP-250S as rear surround be best? My room is only 15'x20' with 9' ceilings.
Paducah Home Theater
In a 5.1 system you need side surrounds, and the RP-250S is best for that especially if you're halfway close. Having a horn firing directly into your ear from a close distance is not comfortable. The 140SA would make a fine height speaker though. I'd use both.
