kaminokyoku
Hi there, I live in New Zealand and there are quite few choice here. I am considering the following package, mostly for home theater, I think I won't use them much for music. Klipsch Reference Entertainment Pack with Yamaha Receiver: Klipsch Reference R26F Floorstanding Speakers (KL-R26F) Klipsch Reference R15M Bookshelf Speakers (KL-R15M) Klipsch Reference R25C Centre Speaker (KL-R25C) Klipsch Reference 8" Subwoofer (KL-R8SW) Yamaha RXV483 Home Theatre Receiver (RXV483) Totally $2,810 And someone else suggested me to go directly to Klipsch Reference Premiere, which will cost me $8,000 with a suitable AV receiver. As their comment, lower ones just waste money. I am wondering if they worth the difference. And following is another package from the same seller, I am not sure if it's against the rules here to include it: Wharfedale Diamond 200 Entertainment Pack with Yamaha Receiver: Wharfedale Diamond 230 Floorstanding Speakers (DIAMOND-230B) Wharfedale Diamond 220 Bookshelf Speakers (DIAMOND-220B) Wharfedale Diamond 220 Centre Speaker (DIAMOND-220CB) Yamaha NS-SW100 Subwoofer (YA-NSSW100) Yamaha RXV383 Home Theatre Receiver (RXV383) Totally $2,288 It's a bit cheaper as you can see, so please help me make a decision
Scrappydue
That’s a huge jump and not worth the difference. Here in the states there is not that big of a difference. Either something isn’t right and your dealer is off their rocker, or the markup on RP series is a joke down there

So Klipsch Reference pack has much better cost performance in this case I guess?

xo705cf
Are you sure the price is right for the reference premiere does not seem like they would be that much more even there in New Zealand.. I agree with Scrappy-Doo however I have the rp280f and love them if the prices lower than what you're thinking it is and not much more than the reference I would get those reference premiere instead... You are now talking wireless powered speakers. My suggestion is to scrap that idea altogether. Avoid the wireless powered speakers, they are being discontinued due to problems. Here is an idea for you. See if you can contact your dealer to see what these would cost you instead of the powered speakers you had posted above: http://www.klipsch.com/products/reference-premiere-floorstanding-speakers?model=rp-260f http://www.klipsch.com/products/reference-premiere-center-speakers?model=rp-450c http://www.klipsch.com/products/reference-premiere-bookshelf-speakers?model=rp-160m http://www.klipsch.com/products/reference-subwoofers?model=r-112sw

Ain’t worth the astronomical price difference. Although I’m not quite sure how they get the Best Buy stuff so much cheaper it all has to be shipped there no matter what

It doesn't pay to comment on things at 3 am when I am only semi-conscious.

Maybe because very few people buy higher grade here. I will then just go for the reference pack.
Scrappydue
Oh we almost all buy the higher stuff. However, here, the difference is very minimal
